"Perhaps you have already heard it in full. Then both of us would have our time wasted and you would feel foolish."

Lestat starts to slide out of his seat. He's seen a young man that he's seen here several nights, who generally goes unnoticed by most of the other patrons, head out to the alley to get some fresh air. As he stands, his hand slides down Daniel's arm.

"Excuse me for a moment."

He doesn't worry that Daniel will run away in his brief absence. All the same, Lestat gives the back of Daniel's neck a light squeeze to let him know he still has all of his interest, and then he's gone, slipping through the crowd.
